Rama Kumar is CEO & Founder of Tarang Software Technologies , a leader in Electronic Transactions (Payment) Technology.
Prior to founding Tarang Rama worked with Wipro. Rama was the Chief Executive of Wipro's e-business worldwide (of $100 Million) across various verticals (e-commerce, ERP, CRM enterprise Application Integration and Data warehousing). He was the creator of Wipro's Technology vision.
Rama started his career by writing software for banks and insurance for 4 years before he moved on to Sales & Marketing and then Management for the next 11 yrs.
At Tarang, Rama handles critical functions like strategy, finance and quality. His earlier assignments were as Chief Executive of Wipro’s domestic Solutions & Systems Integration business and as Corporate Vice President reporting to the Chairman of Wipro for the Six Sigma Quality initiative.
Rama holds a B.Tech degree from Madras Institute of Technology and an MBA from IIM Ahmedabad. Rama says Tarang is his passion and he is focused on making it one of the top companies in its space. When not working he prefers to spend his time with his sons and seeing them grow up and have successful careers.
