Sampath is Director at Quanta Consulting Inc., a US management consulting firm specializing
in global markets, sourcing, trade and investments. Based in Los Angeles, he is a huge
proponent of globalization and provides comprehensive guidance to corporations on their
global & India business strategy.
Sampath’s passions include globalization, public policy, efforts in rural India and enabling
technology to improve life at the bottom of the pyramid. He speaks extensively on these
topics at conferences and in the media.
Sampath chairs the Annual India Trade Conferences and Asian Global Sourcing Conferences in
Los Angeles to help increase knowledge levels on India opportunities. Partners in these
undertakings include the Port of Los Angeles, Edison, USC Marshall School of Business, the US
Chamber of Commerce, and the US Department of Commerce (US Commercial Service).
Backed by over 20 years of experience, insight, and strong networks in India, California & Abu
Dhabi, he brings a unique perspective to corporations and new ventures. He is also Adjunct
Professor for Global Business & Strategy at the University of California Irvine’s Merage School
of Business. Prior to Quanta Consulting, Sampath held senior management, marketing &
technology positions at Capital One, Reuters, and technology start-ups.
Born in Chennai, India, and having spent most of the last two decades in the US, Sampath now
splits his time between Los Angeles and Chennai. Sampath holds a BE from the National
Institute of Technology [REC], Trichy, and an MBA from the University of Southern California's
Marshall School of Business.
