3. Recently received Title ‘ Padma Vidhyasagar’ from Padma Sarangapani Cultural Academy Villivakkam , Chennai. – In the field of Special Education.

Participation in Seminar/ Workshops: Attended conferences and workshop on Learning Disability organized by Alpha to Omega Learning Centre.

PERSONAL PHILOSOPHY OF EDUCATION:

I BELIEVE every child should have Education and no child should be denied or turned out of school due to their disability. Government should take up more schemes for opening up schools with free education with well trained teachers,

Who have some knowledge about Learning Difficulties.

Having recognized the importance of Education as I was married young, I completed my M.A., degree after 2 children. This gave me confidence and motivation to join hand with my friends to start a school for special children; this has given me the ultimate joy and fulfillment in Life.

FIELD OF EDUCATION : Teaching Children with Learning Difficulty/ Dyslexia – 18 years

AREAS OF SPECIALISATION-

o Identification, Screening and Conducting Psycho-Educational Assessments.
o Conducting seminars and workshops for teachers, parents and educators in India and Colombo (Sri Lanka) on Teaching Methodology for handling children with "Learning Difficulty"/ Dyslexia - through a Multisensory Approach.



TRAINING PROGRAMMES CONDUCTED:

* Awareness programmes on Learning Difficulty / Dyslexia in Mainstream schools of Chennai.
* Presented paper in U.K. – Effective Learning Strategy for improving Language and Reading Comprehension.
