Appointment emphasizes company’s commitment to the region


BANGALORE, INDIA, DECEMBER 5, 2007 – F5 Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ: FFIV), the global leader in Application Delivery Networking, today announced the appointment of Mr. Harvinder Singh Rajwant as Country Manager for its India operations.

Harvinder has over thirteen years experience in the IT and telecom industries. Prior to joining F5, Harvinder was National Sales Manager at Citrix Systems, India. He has also served as the channels manager for Juniper Networks, India and SAARC. Harvinder also gained valuable experience during his stints at Netscreen, ISS and HCL Comnet.


With two senior level appointments in the country in the space of 6 months, F5 continues to solidify its focus and commitment for the region. Mr. Pranay Jhaveri, another industry veteran, was recently appointed as Sales Director. Pranay is responsible for driving the sales across the region and continues to grow F5’s business among customers and partners.

1) You are into 'application delivery networking'. What's that?
2) Can you tell us what the major problems are when delivering applications over networks?
3) With more applications running at user ends, doesn't the job of the security professional become extremely tough?
4) Are there clear metrics by which you demonstrate value for your customers? Any success stories? (user quotes, pref)
5) You have been in the security industry for nearly __ years. Looking back, what were the signifiant shifts or turning points? Also, what do you see as the emergng security scene to be like?
6) Does the mobile space require the same security standards as on computer networks?
7) Describe the infrastructure you have in place to respond to SOS calls from users w.r.t. security.
8) We find that pages with many visual elements load slowly on desktops. Does F5 maake things faster?
9) As a security professional, how comfortable are you with the state of security in the big public systems around us? What can be done to improve these?
