K.V. Rajan

"This fiscal, we will be opening our centres in Assam and other States in the North-East. Between now and 2010, we will be increasing the number of centres from 203 to 500. Our global operations, which began with the Singapore centre in February this year, will also see growth. We are planning to have franchisees in Singapore, and master-franchisees in Malaysia, Indonesia and Sri Lanka. There are pending enquiries from Vietnam and Thailand.

Major K V Rajan has served the Indian Armed Forces for over three decades.


Besides having served in the Armed Forces, Major Rajan has had successful stints at TTK Production as an Engineer and has served as the General Manager in a reputed IT firm. He has also held the prestigious position of Director at J. Krishnamurthy Foundation, Varanasi.


Major Rajan has been with Veta for the past 11 years; he started as the General Manager and moved up the ladder to take over as the Executive Director of Veta. His ability to develop and maintain franchisee operation helped Veta to evolve into an institute of national repute. He now heads a team of professionals at Veta, to add on to the growth story in making Veta a well recognized brand across India and spearheading it to new international territories.


According to him, a successful franchising manager is someone who not only has the skills and aptitude required for the particular business, but one who knows where his/her weaknesses are and is able to hire people to compensate for those weaknesses.
