DE Ramakrishnan

"The growth of micro and small enterprises over the three decades between 1960s and 1990s was mainly due to the avilability of infrastructure (provided by the Government on easy and affordable terms) coupled with easy, cheap and timely credit from banks. This made entrepreneurs even out of ordinary people. Now, both the facilitating factors are inadequate."

DE Ramakrishnan, President, Industrial and Financial Reconstruction Association for Small & Tiny Enterprises (IFRASTE), also President of National Confederation of Small Industry (NACOSI)

February 5, over lunch.
