"In 2008 Summer (May-June) we anticipate a minor shift in passenger preferences towards non-traditional destinations such as Bali, Vietnam and China. On the inbound side, we would like to see much more leisure traffic (meaning, tourists rather than business or ethnic travellers) coming in. Unfortunately, this segment is stagnant, owing predominantly to problems with regard to infrastructure and hospitality."

Bharath Mahadevan, Manager Southern India for Singapore Airlines at Chennai

March 5, over lunch.
